Forged Engine Rebuild [Mk3 Focus RS]

The mountune Forged Engine Upgrade for the 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine native to the Mk3 Focus RS, includes pistons which are manufactured exclusively for mountune in the US by MAHLE Motorsport, and connecting rods made in the USA by Carrillo to our specification.

In addition to the uprated rods and pistons, this upgrade replaces or upgrades a number of other key engine components to maximise reliability, including:

  • Cylinder head gasket (latest specification)
  • Big end bearing shells (heat treated)
  • High Tensile Head stud/nut set (replacing OE head bolt set-up)
  • Oil control system (baffled sump - including OE balance shaft delete)
  • All required gaskets / seals
  • Timing chain tensioner
  • Engine oil & filter (engine oil changed to 10W/60 specification)
  • Coolant change
  • Engine plaque
  • Air-con re-gas
  • Closed deck press plate
  • mountune steel conrods
  • mountune forged pistons

Included with this price is a 500 mile post run-in period engine diagnostic check, with a complimentary oil and filter change.

This product includes a fixed labour charge for installation at mountune HQ in Hutton, Essex. This is a comprehensive drive in, drive out service, where you can make use of our comfortable and spacious customer waiting area while the work is being carried out.

We will need your car for up to 8 working days.

Please note: the price shown for this product includes installation at mountune HQ only, and is not transferrable to any other dealer or installer.

Please specify your preferred installation date in the 'notes' section when checking-out; our workshop team will then contact you to confirm this date. If we can't accommodate your preferred choice, the team will discuss other available dates.

PLEASE NOTE: Your engine will be subject to a visual inspection after removal from the vehicle. There will be a secondary inspection after tear down. Any additional required work will be advised and quoted.
